I'm going to move to Costa Rica and rescue sloths.
Finally, I can show off my Herbie in action. He is in box #5 and is wearing a black silk.
Just got the press release about a ( zombie march )
in SLC tomorrow. Wish I would have known sooner.

Sorry for short notice. Gang Gang Dance is at Urban Lounge tonight. It's only $7 and should be pretty sweet. Here is an excerpt from their new DVD:
My neighbor just informed me that he saw us on the news walking Herb at the annual Strut Your Mutt. Ha!
I'm sure they didn't capture the best part where Herb got so hot that he decided to lay down in the pond at Sugar House Park. If only we had our camera...

Is this good news or bad news? Goodbye Virgin, Hello Urban Outfitters. I'm torn.
I only wish it were H&M rather than UO. As Tim Gunn says, "What IKEA did for furniture, H&M has done for clothing."
If you live in Salt Lake/UT and can enjoy vegan food you MUST check out Vertical Diner. Today I tried the "Tiger Tenders" which is the most convincing fried chicken I have ever had...dipped in vegan ranch dressing. Wow. They also have chicken fried steak on Thursdays for dinner.
Speaking of delicious vegan food, The Broken Record/Todd's Bar & Grill has an amazing menu and at amazing prices. I had a Bloody Mary and a Vegan Scrambler for $7.

We got back last night after an enjoyable 4-day weekend in Kanab for the Greyhound Gathering. Herb was adorable as ever. He ran around like a little kid with his buddies and bobbed for hot dogs in a swimming pool (his favorite) at the carnival.
The Salt Lake Tribune has an article about the event today.
And now,( a taste of the many photos coming from the greyhound gathering: )

Because not everybody knows about "the pink guy," here is what you should be looking for.
And here is the house we are moving into.

After a very long day yesterday, we finally arrived in snowy Montreal....without our luggage. This means we have to/get to go shopping. We are both pretty sick and don't feel like leaving our hotel. bah!
Timing has been really bad lately. We are in the middle of closing on a house and I'm still dealing with a minor car accident from two weeks ago, trying to coordinate with too many people who are not doing their job. Right now this isn't the ideal vacation.
If you see us at C.O.M.A. looking like hell, you'll understand why. :)

I really dig this commercial:

Herb turned six yesterday and celebrated with a really long walk, some carob brownies and tons of attention.
( Spoiled like no other... )
Pretend like the photos are all the same size. I just signed up for photobucket and, clearly, I am having some issues. Expect to see more photos. They won't always be of my animals. Promise.

• My husband has a hole in his heart. Literally.
• Does anybody here have plans to celebrate Single Awareness Day (SAD)?
Do you loathe Feb. 14? How do you celebrate? or anti-celebrate?
I'm writing a story...you may be quoted :)
• I'm embarassed to post this because it looks like garbage when you read it online. The first paragraph shouldn't read in bullets. It's one paragraph. Anyway, here is my Crispin Glover/David Brothers Interview.

On the twelfth day of Christmas,
oneamyseven sent to me...
Twelve macs drumming
Eleven dogs piping
Ten hands a-leaping
Nine robots dancing
Eight pixies a-milking
Seven cats a-swimming
Six megaphones a-sewing
Five cro-o-o-ohns
Four theramins
Three monstrum sepsis
Two venetian snares
...and a dsbp in a coffee.
I'm looking for a Juggalo (or Juggalette) in Salt Lake. Does anybody know of any ICP fan around here? It's all business. Seriously.
Current Music: Davis High School marching band
What is that racket? Oh, it's the marching band unveiling the elephant parade for the circus across the street. Nothing like trying to work when there's a swarm of children, clowns and tortured animals five floors below. Guess I'll take a late lunch.
While we were out eating dinner, this cute little boy working at Training Table kept on walking around our table looking at Kelly. We were just about to leave and the kid comes over and tells Kelly he looks like the singer of Mudvayne. Ha!
Am I the last to find out what a "London Bridge" is?
Am I the last to find out what a "London Bridge" is?
So, the Snog show turned out decent, I loved it, but the night was soured in the last few minutes of their performance. It was in the last 5 - 10 minutes that they were onstage when all hell broke loose. So, a couple of "fans" managed to steal the two corporate flags that were on stage. As I ran back to ask security to help watch for these, I witnessed some guy just walk up to another guy watching the band and sucker-punch him in the face. It looked quite painful and the club owner actually got blood on him from the victim. The puncher ran out of the club after it happened. So I ran back to security and let them know a fight might break out. Ugh. So, it ended on a bad note.
I think we were, and still are, more upset about these things than the band was. We've already ordered a couple of replacement flags and hopefully we can get them in the mail in time to catch them while they are still touring. Oh, and we found out after everybody had left that someone had purchased a Snog shirt and was just standing there while somebody ran by and stole it. What the fuck people? It blows me away that people would be such blatant thieves in a small scene. The disrespect people have shown for a band we promoted has got Kelly and I talking about retiring from promoting altogether. Who knows. We are both waiting to cool down before talking about it again.
I've thought about making some phone calls and getting leads on the stolen goods, but what's the point? I doubt that anybody would come forward and admit their stupidity. It's quite disappointing. I think I'm as upset about it as I would be if their gear was stolen. We've invested so much time and money into bringing bands in, I can't help but take it a little personal.
Well, I may or may not post something to the Utah G/I lists. I haven't decided yet. But if anybody here as any leads, I know Thrussell would like to get his flags back.
Kelly's photos are here.

Today is Herb's one year anniversary of living with us! He's been so awesome and we are happy to have him in our family. When I was walking him earlier today he was being extra spunky (I blame the weather change) and we walked past some people who said, "Wow - your dog is so frisky. Is he a puppy?" I just laughed and explained that he is 5 1/2 and loves going on walks.
